In 1956, George Town became the first municipality in the Federation of Malaya to have a fully elected council, and on 1 January 1957, the municipality became a city by a royal charter granted by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, becoming the first (and until 1972, the only) city in the Federation.

Wednesday

It was as usual, breakfast at Cafe BC and arrived at the office at nine. Reading newspaper and the online version of the other dailies. Damn bored. Go and lepak at MCC Sg Dua, check the emails (cannot do this in my office - blocked) KH presented me with a new business plan that could make money in three months time, provided you really have to work very, very hard.

Lunch alone at Selera Murni, choose vegetarian nasi kandar. Vegetarian?? Where got vegetarian nasi kandar except potatoes, and cucumber pickles. 'Kuah campur' or mix all kinds of gravy and of course cholesterols....

Today is a very hot day..... my cars turns like an oven. Damn hot but what to do, this is Penang, you were lucky if you can park your car under the shade. It's a privellage it's a kind of luxury.

Go to Butterworth with KH and his wife for the business meeting. KH was the emcee at the meeting. Slip out with NZ to have coffee. Nice and thotful conversation with him regardless that he's 11 years younger than me.

Back to the island after midnight. Couldn't sleep - surely the coffee to be blame.

Pi BJ again

Yesterday, went to BJ again, this time parked my car in front of Pizza Hut. Went straight to 4th floor to buy DVD. They only sell the original DVDs and VCDs because the encforcement officers still around. Lepak at DT place.

• Fluorecent Bulb 1 piece
• Normal Bulb 25w 2 pieces - for the wall lamp.
• Small Bulb 5w 1 piece - for the fridge.

It was extremely difficult to get the parking space around the BJ Complex. Have to tawaf the whole block twice before could get any. Plan to go to BJ again today to buy some DVDs.
